ENABLING WORKS – SEPTEMBER 2023

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed about the progress of our latest apartment development, we’re excited to share updates of progress each month to keep all informed. Enabling works commenced in November 2024 with milestones achieved as follows:

1. Dilapidation Surveys Conducted

Before starting any construction, a dilapidation survey was conducted. This essential process involves a thorough inspection of surrounding properties to document their current condition. By doing this, we can ensure that no existing structures are damaged during the construction of the new apartments, providing peace of mind to nearby residents.

2. Services Scan Completed

A services scan was carried out to identify and locate any underground utilities such as water, gas, and electrical lines. This is crucial in preventing accidental damage during excavation and ensures that construction proceeds without disrupting essential services. It's a proactive step that helps avoid delays and additional costs during the build.

3. Construction Management Plan Approved by the City of Nedlands

Our Construction Management Plan (CMP) has been reviewed and approved by the City of Nedlands. This plan outlines the methodology for managing the construction process, including site safety, environmental impact mitigation, and communication with the local community. With this approval, we’re fully aligned with local and state based regulations, ensuring we are ready to go with full construction.

4. Traffic Management Plan Approved by the City of Nedlands

In any construction project, traffic flow around the site is very important. We’re pleased to announce that our Traffic Management Plan has also been approved by the City of Nedlands. This plan ensures that pedestrian and vehicle movement around the site is managed safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the surrounding area. This has been achieved by delaying the build of stage (2) of the development and setting aside the land set aside for that stage to be utilised as a builder site office and lay down area for construction purposes. This removes most of the traffic off Louise St reducing impact on the local community.

What’s Next:

With these essential milestones achieved, we are on track to continue progressing on with the demolition phase of the development which will take place over the next couple of months.

We’ll keep you updated with more exciting developments as we reach the next set of milestones. If you have any questions or would like more information about the project, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
