ENABLING WORKS – NOVEMBER 2023

This month has seen the continuation and completion of the demolition phase of the development. 

1. Demolition Completed - Stage One (17 - 19 Louise St)

The demolition process on 17 and 19 Louise St was completed over this period. With the old structures cleared away, the site is now primed for the foundational work required to bring the new development to life. 

2. Demolition Completed - Stage Two (21 Louise St)

The demolition process  on 21 Louise St was also completed during the course of this month with this site being cleared to provide a lay down area for works associated with Stage (1).

3. Site Geotechnical Testing Commenced

As demolition progresses, our team has also started site ground testing to assist with firming up the piling design for the site. This involves sending a probe deep into the site at various locations to map the sites geotechnical make up. This identifies what are we dealing with soil wise, is there limestone present or harder type rock that may be problematic or cause deviations of piling drilling efforts later on. The testing phase allows us to ensure that all specifications meet the highest engineering standards before full-scale construction begins.

4. Continued Site Preparation

While demolition and piling testing are taking place, the groundwork and site preparation continue. Our teams are working to ensure that all utilities and essential services are prepared for integration once the construction phase begins in earnest. This thorough preparation helps avoid delays and ensures a smooth construction process.

Looking Ahead

With demolition and piling testing underway, we’re laying the foundation for the main build. The next few weeks will bring even more progress as we prepare to transition from site preparation to the construction of the building’s core structure.
