CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – OCTOBER 2025

Building Form Revealed as External Works Wrap Up

October was a milestone month as significant external elements were removed, revealing the architectural form and curvature of The Gardens for the first time. Landscaping across all levels reached completion, while internal fit-out works progressed despite isolated subcontractor delays.

Progress Highlights:

  • Scaffolding Removed on Upper Levels – External scaffold was removed from several of the top floors, unveiling the subtle curves and detailing of the building’s design.
  • External Lift Hoist Removed – The external construction hoist was fully removed, marking a major shift toward final façade completion and internal access via permanent lifts.
  • Landscaping Completed (Levels 1–5) – Landscaping across the entire building — from Ground Floor to Level 5 — was completed, including full installation of the building-wide reticulation system.
  • Courtyard Soffits Fully Installed – Soffit installation within the courtyard was finalised, giving the central communal area a completed architectural profile.
  • Ground Floor Balcony Soffits Installed – Balcony soffits at the Ground Floor were fully installed, advancing lower-level external works.
  • Cabinetry Installation Continued – Ground Floor- Ground Floor cabinetwork installation progressed, although delays were experienced in the supply of cabinets for upper levels due to manufacturer constraints.
  • Timber Flooring Delivered, Installation Delayed – Timber flooring arrived on site; however, scheduling delays with subcontractor installers impacted commencement of installation.
  • Building Central Hot Water System – was delivered and moved to installation point on level 5 for complete installation.
  • Floating Pedestal Tilling – continued to be installed to all open balcony and communal areas. The system designed to allow free drainage of all water sources into drains installed in every slab throughout the building and allow for easy future access to water proofing membranes installed should any issues arise in that area in the future as the building ages.
  • Kitchen splash backs – began to arrive and were being installed.
  • Private Garages – for those residents with private garages installation of the garage doors to these areas were now fully installed.

Looking Ahead

November will focus on accelerating internal finishes, including timber flooring installation, continued cabinetwork rollout, final services commissioning, and progressive completion of Level 1–4 apartment fit-outs. With external works nearing completion, attention will increasingly turn to interior detailing.
