CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – OCTOBER 2024

October has been another productive exciting month on-site, with significant progress as construction steadily advances. Here are the key achievements for the month:

Progress Highlights

1. Ground Floor Area 2 Slab Poured

The second slab for the ground floor has been poured, marking another milestone in the building's foundation work.

2. Columns to Ground Floor Area 2 Formed and Poured

The vertical columns for Ground Floor Area 2 have been successfully formed and poured, continuing to build the structure upwards. Clearly evident now are the unique design features of the building with the molds created to facilitate the gentle curves throughout the building that will be visible externally and internally in some apartments. Simply amazing work by all concerned as real old-fashioned artisanship is required to build the molds required. The end result after the concrete pours simply breathtaking as evidenced in the pictures below. 

3. Feature Opening Entrance to the Apartments Insitu Column Formed and Poured

A striking feature column has been completed, adding a unique architectural element to the project at the entrance to the apartments foyer - the final reveal to take place in November after the concrete sets and the support mouldings can be removed. Simply stunning!

4. Level 1 Area 1 Formed

Formwork for Level 1 Area 1 has been completed, preparing the site for the next stage of construction.

5. Level 1 Area 1 Pre-lays Complete

Pre-lay services for Level 1 Area 1 were finalised, ensuring all essential infrastructure is in place before the concrete pour.

6. Level 1 Area 1 Poured by End of Month

Concrete for Level 1 Area 1 was poured, setting the stage for the installation of columns and further progression.

7. Level 1 Precast Columns Formed & Poured

Additional Precast columns for Level 1 were also formed and poured, delivering more architectural features to the building 

8. Level 2 Area 2 Formwork Commenced

Formwork for Level 2 Area 2 is underway, preparing for the upcoming structural pours.

What’s Next:

Momentum is really starting to accelerate now as the complicated curvature molds have now been built and can be used again on the next couple of floors until the next different design elements kick in. For sure this construction project is not straight forward with the different curvature elements in place. The end result is going to be quite unique.
