Major Plant Removal and External Works Near Completion
November marked another significant transition month for The Gardens, with major construction equipment removed from site and key external works nearing completion. While strong progress continues across finishes and landscaping, subcontractor resourcing challenges in cabinetry and flooring remain an area of focus.
Progress Highlights:
Tower Crane Removed – The site crane was dismantled and removed — a major visual milestone signaling the transition from structural works to final fit-out and completion stages.
Ground Floor Planter Screeds Completed –Screeding works to the ground floor planters were finalised in preparation for planting and finishing.
Pool Waterproofing Completed & Tiling Commenced – Pool waterproofing was completed, allowing pool tiling works to commence — an important step toward final commissioning.
Texture Coating to Common Area Soffits Completed – Texture coating to soffits in common areas was completed, refining the internal architectural finishes.
Central Courtyard Landscaping Completed – Landscaping works within the central courtyard reached completion, significantly enhancing the amenity and presentation of this key communal space.
Cabinet Installation Delays Continue – Ongoing challenges remain with cabinet installers not meeting programmed targets, impacting internal fit-out sequencing.
Timber Flooring Delays Continue – Timber flooring installation continues to experience delays due to labour shortages and difficulty securing appropriately experienced installers.
Practical Completion Forecast Updated – Based on the revised construction program, the builder’s forecast date for Practical Completion is currently 24 February 2026.
Looking Ahead
December will focus on accelerating flooring and cabinetry installation, completing pool finishes, and pushing further into final apartment detailing. With major external plant now removed, emphasis is firmly on internal completion and preparation for commissioning.
