CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2024

As we move into February 2024, the construction of our apartment development is progressing smoothly. We’re excited to share the latest key achievements that mark significant progress on-site. Here are the highlights:

1. Piling Completed

The piling phase is now officially completed. This marks a critical milestone in ensuring the long-term stability of the building, as the piles provide the deep foundation needed to support the entire structure. With this work done, we’re now fully focused on the next stages of construction.

2. Pile Cropping Substantially Completed

The process of cropping the piles is substantially completed. Cropping involves cutting down the tops of the piles to the correct level, ensuring that they’re ready to support the capping beam. This task is nearly finished, setting us up for the installation of the upper-level structure.

3. Blinding for Upper-Level Capping Beam Poured

We’ve successfully poured the blinding layer for the upper-level capping beam. This blinding concrete serves as a smooth and level base, providing a clean surface for the capping beam to be installed on top of the piles. This is a crucial step in ensuring the structure is built on a solid and precise foundation.

4. Staged Bulk Excavation Commenced

Staged bulk excavation has now begun on-site. This involves systematically removing soil and other materials to create space for the lower levels of the building, including the double basement and underground services. This work is essential for preparing the site for further construction, and the excavation will continue in stages over the coming weeks.
